Poetic Retrospective
Homo + Pathos
Rachel Eagle Reiter
Homo means like,
Similar or the same
Pathos is Greek
For suffering
Homeopathy
Cures based
On philosophy:
Like cures like
In minute amounts
The same substance
That can cause harm
Has the power to heal
Homeopathy can be
Used preventatively
Similar to vaccinations
Homeopathy can be
Used medicinally
Curing symptoms
And even root problems
But Homo + Pathos
Doesn't receive
The acceptance
It deserves
It stays in a corner
Away from mainstream
It's a little unusual
And unconventional
It isn't given respect
Because it's quite gentle
Without harsh side-effects
How can it really be powerful
